I won’t take much time for a long post today, but this should be a year in which the situation significantly improves or worsens in the area after a period of relative status quo.  One of my main prayers for the New Year is for well meaning citizens of each of the countries in the region to have to opportunity to work on improving their own countries with a minimum of outside geopolitical linkages.  I am confident that the US could help in Kenya if it choses to, and to some extent in the other regional countries on a stand alone basis.
